Open the Map or List tab and allow location access. FreePlay sorts playgrounds, parks, beaches and swims, walks, libraries, free activities and clearly marked paid family venues by how close they are to you. No location? Pick your region and browse the map manually.

Tap the Add tab, or press and hold the map where the spot is, then follow the steps to pin the location, add photos and tick the facilities. New places are reviewed before going live.

Open the place, tap the ⋮ menu and choose “Suggest an edit”. You can correct the name, update facilities, or even move the pin. You can also tap “It's still here” to confirm a spot exists.

FreePlay Hero is the optional planning toolkit inside FreePlay. Every family can explore public places and see safety, accessibility and practical place information for free. Hero adds Rainy Day Rescue, destination weather, advanced filters such as EV charging and parking, collaborative lists, road-trip planning, family walk discovery and other smarter planning tools. Hero subscriptions also help keep the free app growing.

Yes. The Hero owner creates the collaborative plan. Invited family and friends can participate without buying Hero.

Yes. FreePlay includes playgrounds, libraries, parks, walks, beaches and swims, free activities and clearly marked paid family venues where available. We are adding more regions and more family places over time.

Create a list of day-out options, share it with other parents, and let everyone vote for where to go. Friends can suggest another place, and the list owner can approve it. Collaborative planning is part of FreePlay Hero, and invited family and friends can take part without buying Hero.

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play used for purchase. Cancelling stops future renewals, and Hero remains active until the paid period ends.

Go to the Profile tab → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, reviews, favourites and uploaded content. If you no longer have the app, you can request deletion at freeplay.ie/account-deletion. Go to account deletion →

Children's privacy first. No child tracking. FreePlay is for parents and carers: it does not ask for children's names, exact dates of birth, schools or child accounts, and optional age bands can improve recommendations without them.
